Very nice U.S. arrow type belt buckle with great
posture and nice green/brown patina. Has a small ding on the
outer rim surface and a small hair line crack that is only
noticeable with a close up shot with the camera. Has 99.99% lead
back and all attachment hooks are present. This is a North
Georgia relic and lost by a soldier from the Northern side of
the Mason-Dixon Line! |

Engineer two piece buckle

This Topographical Engineer wreath is
like finding a needle in a hay stack. You just don't hear of one
of these being excavated in either theater of the war. This
regulation 1839-1845 pattern is in great condition with slight
body curve. This was found near the Fort Sumter area in South
Carolina. I'm listing this as U.S. but could very well be a nice
Southern relic. |

This Martingale will make someone a great
addition to their Cavalry collection. This has only minor repair
to the lower tip of the rim where it comes to a point and the
lower brass attachment wire has been replaced on the back. The
lead is nearly 95% original except small area at bottom has been
filled in. Really what I meant to say is very minute repair has
been done to this nice piece of historical Civil War antiquity!
This was found in Murfreesboro, TN. along the Stones River
Battlefield area. And in closing I have to add it also has a
nice woods patina to it. |

Here's the hard to find Burnside circular disc
breast plate that will be the center piece to any civil war
breast plate collection. Nice solid plate dug with no rim damage
or freeze cracks and has nice smooth rich patina. has no
scratches or nicks to the front. The back has about 85% lead
remaining but both loops have long since deteriated from being
in the ground 140 years. This plate measures 59 mm and will be
hard to upgrade at this price. |

Nice excavated sling buckle marked T.J. Shepard/
E. Gaylord, Chicopee, Mass. This is one solid buckle with very
clear stamping you can see from across the Mississippi River.
LOL Nice dark chocolate patina and the two tongues are
moving across the bar with ease. Has small bend probably from
the diggers shovel but is very light and can straighten back
easy but not taking anything away from this hard to find sling
buckle. Found in Columbia, S.C. |

that is out on the market. This one has killer deep rich
chocolate patina with "NO FLAWS" at all. The back has 100% lead
and stand up sturdy iron loops. This Confederate BULLS EYE was
probably discarded when issued. You can't find one any nicer
than this and will never need upgraded. Matter of fact you can
purchase this one and get rid of your last upgrade plate!!!!

Massachusetts Infantry

Nice and hard to find flat bottom U box plate.
These plates were found on the Balls Bluff Battlefield and
positively I.D'd to the 15th. Massachusetts Infantry. According
to Michael J. O'Donnell these we're likely purchased in 1861 by
the commonwealth from military suppliers Emerson Gaylord, Boyd &
Sons, and Samuel Walker. This plate was found in Northern Va. and is in
great condition with full rim and nice dark brown patina. Has
nearly all it's lead back with one complete wire loop that's
bent over and close to half of the other. This plate has been
lightly coated. |

only small little rim nicks and a scratch or two on the face. No
freeze cracks or ground action and has 100% lead back and both
iron attachment loops. One loop bent over and the other standing
up although the one standing up has a small piece missing it
still sturdy. This plate was excavated in Tullahoma, Tn. in one
of the Ohio camps a division of the Army of the Cumberland. |

us3/ U.S. {Puppy Paw} Style Belt Buckle
$245.00 Nice U.S. Buckle with the puppy
paw belt keepers. Buckle has a nice chocolate/brown patina with
no ground action or freeze cracks. It does have a little rim
ding and a small 1/4"cut at the rim near the S maybe from a
farmers plow or a period blow to the edge. The dirt is covering
the small cut nicely and only enhances the integrity of the
buckle. The back has 99.9% lead and all three sturdy belt
keepers. This was excavated at Chancellorsville, Va. |

This here box plate has a nice chocolate woods
patina with a beautiful highlighted dirt patina rim that makes
the letters U.S. jump out at you. This plate has no cracks but
does have a small forward roll to the rim and a couple of small
dings on the edges. Solid lead back with just a small amount of
lead lost to the edges. Both loops are still solid although one
is bent over. This plate has "Big Black River, Miss" 21 Feb.'70.
This is a very early pick-up and displays well. This was dug by
the late Dr. Floyd McRae of Atlanta, GA. |

This is a very nice plate from the Beechgrove, TN. area
and will make you a top shelf display at a very affordable price. Full
rim with no cracks or rust showing through the brass face. The chocolate
face is highlighted with the southern soil from Beechgrove. No
loops on the back and only lead missing is where the digger left his
mark with his shovel. |

This marked plate found at Brandy Station, Va.
has a nice face with brown patina with most of the soil still on
plate. Has very small rim deterioration but has no cracks or
dings on plate. The lead back has ground action but 90% present
and has one arrow hook broke off. The Boyd & Son maker marks are
visible. This buckle displays well and will be a good addition
to any marked buckle collection. |

us14/ U.S. (Puppy Paw) style Belt Plate

This puppy paw was dug in Petersburg, VA. and
still has the southern soil of Virginia firmly embedded on the
face. It has full rim but does have a crack on the right edge
nearer the (S) but is very strong and buckle has slight forward
curve to it. The back has good sturdy hooks and 97.99 % of it's
lead present. |
